南投縣茶葉種植面積居全國之冠、茶葉種類多，加上觀光資源豐富，自舉辦『南投世界茶業博覽會』以來，引注國際焦點，更是國內輝煌盛事，吸引約50萬多人次至南投縣買茶、識茶、體茶及觀光，打響國內外知名度，形成台灣年度節慶大事。
