你知道嗎？台灣廟宇數量比四大超商還多，然而若說到密度，大概沒有一條街比得上台中東勢區的文化街，短短500公尺有7間廟，蔚為奇觀。走，全部蒐集起來吧！
In Taiwan, the number of temples is more than convenient stores. When we talk about density, there is no street comparable to Wenhua Street, which is located in Dongshi, Taichung. There are 7 temples in just 500 meters, what a spectacle!
１ 永興宮雙福祠
Yongxing Gong Shuang Fu Temple
在清朝年間原以石頭作為土地公廟，後來歷經用石材蓋廟、與北片伯公合建廟宇，才有了現在的雙福祠，廟名便是因為供奉了兩位土地公而得名。此處還有樹王公，老樹為廟遮風擋雨，頗有特色。
In Qing Dynasty, people used the stone as the temple of the earth god. Later, the temple was built with stones and co-construct with Bei Pian Bogong. The name of the temple is because of worshiping two earth gods. There is also Shu Wanggong (a tree with hundreds of years of history). The old tree shelters the temple from the wind and rain.

２ 台中巧聖先師廟
Taichung Qiao Sheng Xian Shi Temple
巧聖先師是誰呢？他就是魯班，出生於春秋時代，為中國最早的建築工程師，發明了各種建築技術與器具，被視為木匠、建築業的守護神。
Who is Qiao Sheng Xian Shi? Lu Ban was born in The Spring and Autumn period. He invented various construction techniques and appliances, and is regarded as the protector god of carpenters and the construction industry.
台中巧聖先師廟不僅與東勢歷史有密切關係，更是開基祖廟，全台主祀魯班的廟宇有半數以上皆由這裡分香出去，擁有重要地位。廟內也供奉泥水匠祖師爺荷葉仙師與鐵匠始祖爐公仙師，儼然是工藝師傅的信仰中心，而每年的巧聖仙師文化季更是客庄特色節慶！
More than half of all the temples in Taiwan those worship Lu Ban were distributed from Taichung Qiao Sheng Xian Shi Temple, which is the original temple. The temple also worships the founder of mason – He Ye Xian Shi and the founder of blacksmith – Lu Gong Xian Shi. Moreover, the annual Xiao Sheng Xian Shi Cultural Festival is a special event in Hakka village!

３ 永光祠
Yongguang Temple
超出路面而建的永光祠是座土地公廟，遠看彷似蓋在別人家的屋頂上，形成特殊景觀。從永光祠可以眺望東勢臨河處，以及對面的石岡山頭，是休憩賞景的好地方。
Youngguang Temple, which is built beyond the road, is a temple of earth god. From the long distance, it looks like it is built on the roofs of houses. You can overlook the riversides of Dongshi and the opposite Shigang Mountain from here. It is a good place to relax and enjoy the scenery.

４ 鯉魚伯公廟永安宮
Liyu Bogong Temple (Young An Temple)
相傳早期拓墾之時，這裡比鄰大甲溪，溪水經常氾濫成災，於是用石頭砌建石崁。那隨地形起伏的外型遠看像一條鯉魚，一顆顆堆砌的石頭亦像魚鱗，在地居民便在魚頭部位安置土地公福德神位，供奉為「鯉魚伯公」。
In the early days, the stream often overflowed, so people used stones to build the stone piles. The appearance looks like a carp, and the stacked stones are like fish scales. So the local residents placed the spirit tablet of the earth god on the head of the fish, and called it “Liyu Bogong.” (In Chinese, Liyu means carp)
鯉魚伯公十分靈驗，不只守護溪水不再氾濫，居民若有遺失東西或生病都會前來祭拜。廟前亦供奉石母娘娘，中秋節是石母娘娘誕辰日，信眾都會帶著豐厚供品前往膜拜祝壽。
Liyu Bogong is quite efficacious. It protects the stream from overflow. When the residents lose something or get sick, they will come to worship it. They also worship Shi Mu Niang Niang in front of the temple.

５ 福安祠
Fu An Temple
福安祠也是座土地公廟，裡頭除了土地公、土地婆，仔細看，還有一尊幼童像呢！相傳因為小孩在廟外走來走去，不知道家在哪裡，也沒有父母來找，土地婆便將其收留，帶在身邊。
Fu An Temple is also a temple of earth god. In addition to the earth god and earth goddess, you can also see a statue of a child! It is said that the child was alone outside the temple without parents, so the earth goddess took the child in.

６ 復興宮
Fuxing Temple
已有兩百多年歷史的復興宮，主祀三太子哪吒，相傳此處於開墾時期時常遭土匪、暴民搶奪，亦與山上原住民失和，在地居民便恭請太子爺鎮守，以保地方平安。現今仍為重要的信仰中心。
With the history of over 200 years, Fuxing Temple mainly worships San Tai Zi Ne Zha. It is said that during the reclamation era, people were often robbed by bandits and mobs. The local residents respectfully asked San Tai Zi to keep the place safe.

７ 東聖宮
Dongsheng temple
客庄多為祭拜三山國王，而位於東勢區農會果菜市場旁的東聖宮，便是東勢唯一媽祖廟！這裡亦有趣味神蹟，二樓玉皇殿每逢初一、十五，其中一座日光燈便會搖晃，實在神奇。
Dongsheng Temple, located beside Dongshi Fruit and Vegetable Market, is the only Mazu temple in Dongshi! When it comes to the 1st day and the 15th of the Chinese lunar calendar, one of the fluorescent lamps in Yu Huang Dian will wobble, it’s amazing. (Yu Huang Dian is the place where people worship Yu Huang Shangdi)
