近期苗栗三義和南庄是台灣四座中，國際慢城的其中雙慢城認證，兩座同時坐落於苗栗，此認證來自義大利，相信在不久的將來縣政府能與當地業者以輕旅行為概念進行規劃，延續此觀光商機。邀請觀光遊客前往客家台三線、中台灣4縣市1日遊、2日遊及背包客自由行的相關活動。
苗栗觀光協會於2018年春遊苗栗的一軸心七條旅遊線，形成區域性的主題遊程，結合了老街尋禮、海風古厝、泡湯採果及各類鄉鎮旅遊特色，更於今年3月份力邀苗栗業者參與推廣苗栗旅遊香港推介會與香港當地媒體、旅行社自由行業者們交流苗栗特色桐花季節旅遊景點，藉由旅遊路線的規劃，定能讓人一覽苗栗的地方觀光魅力。
There are four places certified by Cittaslow International in Taiwan. Among these four, both of Sanyi Township and Nanzhuang Township of Miaoli County have even been double certificated by Cittaslow International. Cittaslow International is an organization founded in Italy. We believed that the county government will be able to plan the tour with the concept of light travel with local industry in the near future and continue this sightseeing business. Tourists are invited to visit the Hakka Romantic Avenue and to join the one-day or two-days tour of four counties and cities in central Taiwan. We also welcome backpackers to travel here.
Miaoli Visitors Association created a regional theme tour called 2018 Spring travel to Miaoli in one axis of seven travel lines. The tour has combined the specialty of old streets, ancient houses, hot spring, fruit picking. Furthermore, the association invited the industries from Miaoli to join the promotional seminar of Hong Kong in March. The purpose is to communicate with the Hong Kong local media and travel agency and share the special landscapes in Tung Blossom season. People will feel that travel to Miaoli is very charming through the planning of tourist route.

東里家風百年古厝 Dong Li Jia Feng Hundred-year Ancient House
東里家風是目前台灣少見又保存良好的紅磚瓦與交趾陶建築物；庭院前的百年龍柏樹，搭配三合院主體及左右四棟護龍之建築體，成為特色民宿區。除了是苑裡鎮重要觀光景點，更吸引各電視台常駐於此拍片取景。
Dong Li Jia Feng is a rare and well-preserved building which was made of red brick and Koji Pottery in Taiwan. The hundred-year old cypress trees stand in front of the yard, combining with the main part of Sanheyuan and four buildings protecting the main one on the left and right sides. It became the area of unique guesthouse. In addition to being an important tourist attraction in Yuanli Township, it also attracts TV stations to film in this place.
